Tom Grodski ND
Dr. Tom is a craniosacral therapist, licensed naturopathic physician & acupuncturist, who has an avid interest in blending functional medicine (homeopathy & acupuncture), psychotherapy, & bodywork. He is also a member of both the British Columbia Naturopathic Association and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. After completing a degree in Astrophysics at the University of Toronto he went on to complete medical school at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, & enter the training program at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto.
Whether caring for his patients as a primary care physician, maintaining their health via preventative medicine, or guiding and supporting patients through deep seated chronic conditions, Dr. Tom’s goal is always to address the root of the disease, from the inside out, to restore not only health, but also vitality and balance.
Having been introduced to Shamanism & Chinese Medicine at a young age, I learned to look at the world, health and happiness in a different way growing up then we are accustomed to here in the West. Years later, when I was completing my undergraduate degree at the U of T in Astrophysics, and looking forward to pursuing my life-long interest in medicine, I was relieved to learn that the old traditional ways of practicing medicine were still alive and well, and that there was a form of Mind-Body medicine that not only made sense to me, but also felt right. It was called Naturopathic Medicine, and I was hooked.
I have had many advanced teachers in the wide world of medicine, each of whom have contributed a different perspective to my understanding: Rajan Sankaran, Alize Timmerman, Ken Wilber, David Hawkins, Bert Hellinger, and Dietrich Klinghardt are but a few of them.
My main interests in Naturopathic Medicine include , what I feel are the cornerstones of functional medicine – Homoeopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Bodywork (Applied Kinesiology, Bowen, & Craniosacral therapy). Integral Psychotherapy (Gestalt Therapy, Family Constellations and Homeopathic Psychotherapy), and Regenerative Clinical Nutrition also play important roles in my practice. All of these modes of accessing healing form (in my mind anyways), a natural and synergistic union.
